“Sound Story of Children” Writing Competition
Organiser and Co-organiser
- The Competition is organised by the Commission on Children ("the Commission") and co-organised by the Labour and Welfare Bureau ("LWB").
Objectives of the Competition
- The competition aims to give participants an opportunity to express themselves through storytelling, as inspired by the sounds that are readily accessible in children's daily lives.
Theme of the Competition
- With the theme of "Sound Story of Children", participants have to write a story about personal growth or feelings.
Form of the Competition
- Participants are required to select one out of the three audio files provided by the Commission as a lead-in to write a story about personal growth or feelings either in Chinese or English.
- There is no need to specifically mention in the article any or all of the sounds preset in the audio file. Participants could use their imaginations to write the story based on their associations or feelings on the sound heard.

Target Group and Eligibility
- There are three sections under the Competition, namely, senior primary, junior secondary and senior secondary.
- Participants should be primary and secondary students studying in Hong Kong.
- Each participant may submit through his / her school one entry only. Each school may submit a maximum of three entries for each section.
